On 2/12 - 2/14, Quarry Lane Speech/Debate competed virtually at Stanford University (Bay Area, CA). 1459 competitors representing 174 schools from 26 states attended. Of this, 43 Quarry Lane students participated in 2 Speech/Debate events, and received the following awards.
Varsity Public Forum
- Aditya Goel (12th) & Sahana Nellian (12th) - 5th (T) place out of 126 entries (top 4%). With this, Aditya & Sahana received their 2nd bid in Public Forum to the University of Kentucky's Tournament of Champions!
- Aditya Goel (12th) - 12th speaker out of 252 entries (top 5%).
- Sahana Nellian (12th) - 13th speaker out of 252 entries (top 5%).
Novice Public Forum
- Ruta Sirdeshmukh (7th) & Sarita Narasimha (9th) - 9th (T) place out of 56 entries (top 16%).
- Sarita Narasimha (9th) - 12th speaker out of 112 entries (top 11%).
- Karen Huang (8th) - 16th speaker out of 112 entries (top 14%).
- Sofia Vidal-Mackay (10th) - 17th speaker out of 112 entries (top 15%).
Junior Varsity Dramatic Interpretation
- Leila Natochy (7th) - 3rd place out of 16 entries (top 19%).
