On 11/19 - 11/21, Quarry Lane Speech/Debate competed virtually at SCU #1 (Bay Area, CA). 1289 competitors representing 99 schools from 10 states attended. Of this, 30 Quarry Lane students participated in 2 Speech/Debate events, and received the following awards.
Varsity Public Forum
- Sanjana Bajaj (10th) & Kyle Du (10th) - 17th (T) place out of 93 entries (top 18%).
Varsity Humorous Interpretation
- Tully Omar (11th) - 6th place out of 16 entries (top 38%).
Novice Dramatic Interpretation
- Irene Fu (7th) - 1st place out of 12 entries (top 8%).
- Ivana Kumar (7th) - 5th place out of 12 entries (top 42%).
Novice Impromptu Speaking
- Irene Fu (7th) - 10th (T) place out of 83 entries (top 12%).
